Open/R is our way of building extensible control planes for wide variety of network types: datacenter, backbone and wireless meshes. Starting as a simple routing protocol for the Terragraph mesh network it grew into a framework for building distributed in-network applications. In this talk we’ll review the motivation and design of OpenR systems and discuss some of the applications to the Facebook network.
